Procrasting through Life

pro-cras-ti-na-tion |prəˌkrastəˈnāSHən, prō-|
noun- the action of delaying or postponing something

As the title mentions I feel like I am procrastinating through life.

  • A year ago I purchased a cutting machine to start an Etsy shop, that machine has been seldomly used and the business not started, despite my well not so best efforts.
  • 10 years ago I wanted to go into the legal field but decided against it due to not wanting any more crushing student loans, I still wish I did it.
  • I said I would visit Paris for my 40th B-day, it never happened and at the rate of this Coronavirus outbreak, it probably wont until things are under control.
  • I said I would start Keto in October, we are in March and I have done perhaps 1 or 2 Keto meals in one week but not really on the diet or working out.
  • I said I would start a new blog, which would also center around my crafting business

There are so many other instances and things I can list but we would be here all day. While the little things may not be such a big deal, I think the bigger ones are, such as a career change. I feel stagnant in my role as well as the pay truly sucks. The only reason why I am hanging on is because it is in close proximity to my home and my daughter's  babysitter.

As I write this, I am truly sad that I allow "life" and my lack of motivation to carve this as a part of who I am.

I have a game plan, I am going to set tiny goals and meet them no matter what. I have to stop this cycle. Here I am at 40 with a few what if's because of it. I need to take control and I will.

While I was on amazon buying an appetite suppressant ( I am desperate, please don't judge) I came across this book and will listen to the audio version for free. At this point buying the book will mean it will collect dust with the others I have. Listening has a better shot.

Hopefully my next post is telling you things have turned around, but it is a step, a step to stop me from procrastinating my way though life.
