Well here I am again, about a year and a half after my last blog post.
I keep typing and deleting, fingers clicking but nothing is making sense so I delete. Do I really need to restart blogging? Do I want to? Who would want to read it? Even though I have wrestled with these questions for a while – a long while indeed – they cannot silence that quiet inner voice that tells me to go ahead and dive in.
And, of course, I cannot ignore the effects of the pandemic over these last almost 2 years to me both personally and professionally, my friends, family, my more immediate surroundings and the world at large, all of which constitute a major reason for taking the time to reflect on the direction of my life.
So much happened, so many milestones for my daughter and so many times I have been tested as a mother, wife, and just a working woman in general.
Motherhood is hard, incredibly hard and it is further compounded by the fear of the world. Go to hell COVID-19.
So many lives lost, it is hard to even have a conversation with people without sharing horror stories of this terrible disease and how it impacted either you or someone you know.
I partially worked from home from March to October 2020 and it was both glorious and exhausting. I see pictures of people that used the time to get in shape and it makes me feel a little jealous because weight did not go down for me, it went up. I keep starting and stopping work out programs and I hope to conquer this soon, I want to be around a long time and to be healthy for my kiddo.
As for baby number 2, I think I am closing the page, the story if you will at 1.
This wont be a woo is me post so lets move on to some positive highlights for record keeping.
The tiny human is alive, well, and a threenager, yes that's absolutely a thing.
She has her own little personality, set of friends, potty trained, can remember books ( not quite reading) attends dance, did her first recital, and is now attending daycare............daycare sucks but that's another post.
All in all we are all doing ok all things considered.
Procrastination is still at an all time high., oh well.
This is the blog that I was looking for, thanks for sharing this with us.
